Sources close to the Confederation of African Football revealed the date of the announcement of the country that will host the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, which was recently withdrawn from Guinea, claiming that it was not ready to host this continental event.

And the president of “CAF”, Patrice Motsepe, had announced that the date for announcing this decision would not be in the middle of the current month of February, as was scheduled on the sidelines of the World Cup clubs that took place in Morocco and knew that Real Madrid was crowned with the title, and that he would announce later on his official date, but he did not indicate any. History, but sources within the “CAF” revealed to us today that the announcement will be in large part on the 15th of next March, on the sidelines of the 73rd “FIFA Congress”, which will be held in the Rwandan capital, Kigali.

Although “CAF” has not yet revealed the date of announcing the organizer of the tournament, as it is very secretive about that, given the great sensitivity of this issue at the present time, and the great competition between the countries running for the succession of Guinea, which is led by Algeria, Morocco, and a joint file between Nigeria and Benin, in addition to To Zambia, however, the convening of this conference on African soil shakes this proposition, especially since the sources that spoke to us about it are very reliable.

Although these sources confirmed that the decision will be taken to a large extent on the sidelines of the “FIFA Congress”, they did not rule out postponing the meeting of the Executive Board of “CAF” until next July, after the end of the African Cup competitions for young players completely, as Egypt will host it starting from tomorrow. Under-20 Championship, while Algeria will host the Under-17 Championship, which will raise speculation even more, especially in light of the presence of two strong candidates, Algeria and Morocco.

It is expected that the monitoring and inspection of “CAF” will begin its tour of the candidate countries to host “Cannes 2025” soon, in order to determine the preparations of all countries, including sports facilities and infrastructure, and submit its report to the Executive Office, which will vote for the strongest file in all respects.
