The Minister of Energy and Mines, Mohamed Arkab, received today, Sunday, at the headquarters of his ministerial department, the Vice President of the Chinese company Sinopec, Liu Hongbin.
The two parties reviewed the cooperation and partnership relations between the two companies, Sonatrach and Sinopec, and the prospects for enhancing them. In the same context, they welcomed the distinction and solidity of these relations.
The two parties also discussed business opportunities and future investment prospects for Sinopec in Algeria in the field of hydrocarbons, especially exploration, production increase and recovery rate, as well as in the field of petrochemicals and manufacturing industries, all within the framework of the new hydrocarbons law as well as the new legal framework for investment in Algeria.
The minister stressed the importance of cooperation and partnership between Algerian and Chinese companies, and highlighted the partnership projects that could be concluded in the fields of new and renewable energies, particularly solar photovoltaic energy, hydrogen, wind energy and geothermal energy, as well as in the field of manufacturing equipment and exploiting mining resources used in renewable energy industries. .
