Health Minister Abdelhak Sayhi: We will support health institutions in Oran with linear accelerators

revealed the Minister of Health,Abdelhak Saihi, on the support of health institutions specializing in the treatment of cancer patients in the state of Oran, with new linear accelerators, in order to improve the care of patients.

During a public session in the National People’s Assembly devoted to asking oral questions, the minister stated that “the support of Oran Province has been programmed with new linear accelerators, by purchasing (2) accelerators for the benefit of the hospital specializing in the treatment of cancer patients (Prince Abdelkader) in Meserghine,” in addition to the acquisition of ” Two (2) accelerators for the benefit of the University Hospital Center (Dr. Bin Zargab), and three other accelerators directed to the project of completing the Cancer Institute in Oran, whose occupancy rate has reached 90 percent.

With regard to projects for the construction of new hospitals in the state of Oran, especially in Qedil, Wadi Talilat and Karma, he stressed that “these important health facilities will be put into service as soon as possible,” adding that work will be done to “accelerate the procedures for equipping them and supporting them with the necessary human resources.” , including medical and paramedical staff, as well as its establishment by executive decrees to enable it to benefit from a budget of its own.

The hospital for cancer patients in Laghouat is in the processing phase

In response to a question related to a project to build a hospital specializing in the treatment of cancer patients, with a capacity of 140 beds in the wilaya of Laghouat, Saihi stated that “the works were completed and it was delivered on July 12, and it is currently in the preparation stage,” stressing that “a book of conditions for its acquisition has been prepared.” 3 linear accelerators for radiotherapy, which will be deposited for study at the level of the sectoral committee for public procurement.
