Hokkar inspects production facilities in Hassi-Berkin and Tin Foy-Tebkrot – El Hewar Algeria

The President, General Manager, Taoufik Hakkar, made a working visit and inspected each of the Hassi Berkin and Tin Foy-Tabencourt facilities, in order to see the pace of production operations and to check the conditions for taking care of the workers, where he was accompanied by a delegation of the company’s executives, as well as the Acting Secretary General of the General Union of Algerian Workers, Mr. Hammou Touahriye and Secretary General of the National Syndicate of Sonatrach.

The first destination of the visit led the delegation to Hassi Berkin, where the General Manager inspected the facilities of the Oil Storage and Transportation Center (CSTH) of the pipeline transport activity, where he was briefed on a technical presentation of the center’s activity, as well as the numbers recorded for the flows and storage capabilities of the center.

The Oil Storage and Transportation Center (CSTH) of Hassi Berkine is located at a distance of 320 km from Hassi Messaoud and includes six 06 tanks with a design capacity of 247 thousand cubic meters. One of its main tasks is to store the crude oil produced in the fields of the Berkine basin and then pump it to the National Center for the Transportation of Liquid Hydrocarbons. In the red basin.

The program of the visit continued in the evening, with the delegation moving to the district of Tin Foy-Tabencourt, where the President and General Manager visited the gas complex, which is being exploited in partnership between Sonatrach and Total Energy.

The visit allowed to see the pace of implementation of the approved development plan in the gas complex, Tin Fuyi-Tabencourt, which aims to drill 35 new wells and extend more than 150 km of gathering networks, as well as modernizing industrial facilities and current control systems, with an estimated budget of 730 million dollars.

He also inspected the various existing industrial units as well as the observation hall, where he received detailed explanations of production levels.

These field exits mainly aim to follow up the implementation of the development plans that Sonatrach is betting on to push the pace of production to its highest levels to provide oil and natural gas to the local market and to ensure stable, sustainable and reliable supplies for Sonatrach’s partners.
