The President and General Manager of the Sonatrach complex, Toufik Hakkar, accompanied by a group of marching tires, paid a working visit and inspected the production units of the Zerzaitine complex in the Illizi basin.
The visit allowed the delegation to see the pace of the development plan approved with the partner Sinopac within the framework of the production-sharing contract in the Zarzaitin contractual area concluded under Law 19-13 regulating hydrocarbon activities. This plan includes the renewal of the gas-pressure production unit unité gas lift, as well as drilling twelve (12) New development wells with six (6) old wells being rehabilitated.
The project also includes connecting new development wells, maintaining old facilities, and supporting the recovery of flared gases to reduce carbon emissions.
The delegation also visited the waste water treatment unit for injection operations, where they were briefed on the plant’s capabilities and the figures achieved in this context.
The occasion allowed the delegation to see the conditions of sponsoring workers and the level of services provided at the life base of Zarzaitine, where the residence suites are inspected, as well as the spaces designated for entertainment.
The completion of these development projects will allow in the future to recover about 95 million barrels of oil, which are quantities that will support Sonatrach’s production capabilities, allowing for raising the marketing capabilities of the complex.
