In implementation of the Algerian Declaration.. the convening of the Youth Conference and the promotion of joint Arab action – the Algerian Dialogue

Today, in Cairo, the work of the youth conference and the promotion of joint Arab action was launched, under the slogan “Youth Create the Future”, which is organized by the Arab Youth Council for Integrated Development and the Egyptian Ministry of Youth and Sports, in cooperation with the Institute of Arab Research and Studies.

The convening of the conference comes in implementation of the Algeria Declaration emanating from the Arab Summit in its 31st session, which included, among its decisions, the call to enhance the status of youth and innovation in joint Arab action. It also comes in conjunction with the International Human Rights Day, with the aim of developing a common vision for youth movement that enhances Arab action. Participating in various sectors, and mobilizing their efforts to contribute to strengthening stability and Arab national security.

The conference sessions deal with the most important challenges facing the Arab countries, and the role of Arab youth and scientific research in facing them to ensure stability and maintain Arab national security, and to promote joint action in its comprehensive concept in various fields, as well as to contribute to resolving and ending the crises that some Arab countries are going through, as well as Evaluating the experiences of joint Arab action at the level of the League of Arab States, specialized organizations, and regional Arab organizations, while developing strategic visions to enhance joint Arab action.

In his speech during the opening session of the conference, Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Egyptian Minister of Youth and Sports, Head of the Executive Office of the Arab Youth and Sports Council, stressed the importance of holding the conference within the framework of strengthening joint Arab action, enriching knowledge and converging Arab youth on a permanent basis, noting the role of the Arab Youth Council for Integrated Development in achieving these goals.

For her part, Dr. Moshira Abu-Ghali, founder and chairperson of the Arab Youth Council for Integrated Development, said that the conference is taking place in light of an Arab movement for joint Arab action, brought about by the League of Arab States inviting youth and civil society to contribute in this field, which aims to achieve true partnership between youth and society. Civil society and governments, in order to achieve a greater contribution of youth to advancing the development wheel in the Arab countries, and to enable them to truly participate in development activities, build the scientific base, and localize advanced technologies.
