The Director General of Foresight at the Ministry of Energy and Mines, Miloud Mojled, participated today, Tuesday, with an important delegation, who knew the participation of the governor of renewable energies and energy efficiency, Noureddine Yassa, as well as executives from the Sonatrach complex and from the Renewable Energy Development Center in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, in the activities of the World Summit on Hydrogen 2023 .

This summit is considered an important energy date to enhance cooperation with the most prominent global players in the field of hydrogen. It is also an opportunity for the Algerian delegation to review and promote the national strategy for hydrogen development and present the national roadmap for hydrogen development.

In the presence of Her Excellency the Algerian Ambassador to the Netherlands and several ministers from Africa, Dr. Muglad presented, in the opening intervention of the African Forum on Hydrogen, during the first session, entitled Creating Hydrogen Supply Chains in Africa, the national strategy for hydrogen development in Algeria, where he indicated that the development of a hydrogen division in Algeria It will inevitably contribute, in the medium and long term, to accelerating the energy transition, enhancing energy security, and will allow the country to participate in the global effort to combat climate change, and thus preserve the environment, and stressed that Algeria has all the ingredients to become a world leader in hydrogen production, as That it has great capabilities and competitive advantages that allow it to have an active and prominent role in this field in view of the huge resources of solar energy that it has, and its possession of wide and integrated networks for the transmission of gas and electric power, and large energies of filtering sea water, as well as significant scientific capabilities In research and development, with the availability of technical expertise and design capabilities in the energy and industry sectors, as well as its proximity to a large market such as the European market, all these qualifications will enable Algeria to quickly integrate into the regional dynamics of hydrogen production and export.
