Mohamed Abdel Hafeez Hani, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, received today, Tuesday, at the ministry’s headquarters, the Ambassador of the United States of America to Algeria, Elizabeth Moore Aubin, in the presence of executives from the sector.
The meeting dealt with the reality of bilateral relations between the two countries in various fields, especially in the agricultural field, and ways to enhance them, as well as the exchange of expertise and experiences, especially in areas of common interest. The two sides also discussed opportunities for cooperation and exchanges in the agricultural field.
In this context, the minister reviewed the most important procedures and facilities available within the framework of the new investment law, as well as the strategy adopted by the government to develop the agricultural sector, especially with regard to developing production in the strategic divisions such as grains, red and white meat, milk and fodder production, and other products that the sector seeks to Developed locally in order to enhance food security and reduce imports.
