Within the framework of his working visit to the Italian Republic at the start of his first European tour commissioned by the President of the Republic, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and the National Community Abroad, Ahmed Ataf, was received today by the Speaker of the Italian Chamber of Deputies, Lorenzo Fontana.
On this occasion, the two parties reviewed the qualitative development witnessed by the Algerian-Italian relations in various fields, praising the gains that have been achieved that enhance the strategic nature of this partnership and the strong political will of the two parties to work to embody its promising future prospects.
They also touched on coordination between the two countries in order to spread security and stability in the Mediterranean region and advance the goals of development and prosperity in this common space and in the world by contributing to alleviating the tension in international relations at the current stage.
During the talks, Minister Ahmed Ataf reviewed the overall political and economic reforms initiated by President Abdelmadjid Tebboune since his election, in order to build a new Algeria that responds to the aspirations of the Algerian people.
In conclusion, the two parties stressed the importance of maintaining the current pace of communication, coordination and cooperation between the two countries, at various levels, including the parliamentary level, in order to achieve the ambitious strategic goals set by the leaderships of the two countries that aspire to build ideal relations that benefit both sides.
