Ibrahim Bogali, Speaker of the National People’s Assembly, chaired today, Wednesday, a coordination meeting with the heads of the parliamentary group.
This meeting was devoted to discussing ways to develop parliamentary performance, after two years have passed since this tenure, which was characterized by intense activity, in line with the state’s policy, which was included in the program of the President of the Republic. The meeting was an opportunity to evaluate the positives achieved, whether at the legislative level or at the level of parliamentary diplomacy, or at the level of various activities such as information missions and parliamentary, training and study days.
After Boghali thanked the heads of the groups for their efforts to improve the parliamentary performance, the opportunity arose to talk about the need to find more formulas to improve the image of the parliament, especially in light of its abundant energies and competencies, as well as urging to remedy some shortcomings and correct them in the future.
For their part, the heads of the parliamentary groups appreciated these coordination meetings, which have become a good tradition that reflects a correct view that seeks to involve everyone in assuming responsibility during the parliamentary term.
By the way, the Speaker of the Council touched on the issue of reviewing the internal system and adapting it to the amendments included in the 2020 Constitution. In this context, he was keen to take into account the new vision aimed at rationality, governance, good management and exploitation of the available capabilities in order to achieve more control over the financial and human resources of the Council.
