The Secretary-General of the Ministry of Energy and Mines, Abdul Karim Owaisi, received today, Wednesday, at the Ministry’s headquarters, the Permanent Secretary of the Maltese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, European and Trade, Mr. Christopher Kotajar.
The two sides reviewed bilateral cooperation in the field of energy, investment opportunities and exchange of experiences between the two countries, especially the marketing of gas (liquefied natural gas), as well as electricity and renewable energies.
On this occasion, the Secretary General presented an overview of the new regulatory framework that governs hydrocarbons activities, which provides many facilities and benefits to investors.
From this perspective, the two sides agreed to organize meetings between experts of the two countries to continue discussions and identify other areas of cooperation.
