This event, sponsored and supervised by the Minister of Culture and Arts, and framed by the Algerian National Theater in partnership with regional theaters, comes within the framework of cultural and artistic programs commemorating the sixtieth anniversary of independence, during which sixteen theatrical works will be presented this month, which are the works produced within the sixtieth program of the Ministry of Culture and Arts. In addition to showing it at the National Theater, artistic tours will take place throughout the country.
The launch of the “Month of Theater” demonstration was with the honorary show produced by the regional theater, Mustafa Kateb – in Souk Ahras, titled “The Camp”, directed by Seif Eddine Ben Dar, which tells an important aspect of the tragedy of the Algerian people during the liberation revolution, their suffering in the camps, and their bitter struggle. against French colonialism.
It is worth noting that the month of theatre, which will last until July 5, 2023, and in addition to the programmed theatrical performances and accompanying artistic tours, will organize seminars to discuss theatrical and related issues.
