The Director of Pharmaceutical Production, Nadia Bouabdallah, representing Ali Aoun, Minister of Industry and Pharmaceutical Production, supervised today, Sunday, in the Constantine 1 production unit of the Saidal complex, the launch of insulin production in the form of a vial destined for hospitals, with a full production pattern, and a total capacity of more than 4 million vials per year.

The challenge was lifted, and production started within the deadlines set by the Minister of Industry and Pharmaceutical Production, Ali Aoun, and the promises he made to himself to return insulin production in the Saidal complex, pursuant to the instructions of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, aimed at restoring the Saidal complex to its leading position in the Algerian pharmaceutical market.

In her intervention, the Director of Pharmaceutical Production confirmed that thanks to this achievement, the Saidal complex and the pharmaceutical industry in Algeria in general are achieving a real leap, which enshrines the concept of health and pharmaceutical sovereignty, which falls within the framework of the public authorities’ endeavor to improve health care for patients, by ensuring the availability of this essential drug, which It was a hostage to imports, although the Saidal complex had previously produced it in 2006.

Nadia Bouabdallah also stated that the production of this drug locally is not a return to the basics and principles on which the Saidal complex was based, pursuant to the directives of Ali Aoun, Minister of Industry and Pharmaceutical Production, who assigned Director General Fattoum Akassem to return to insulin production in Constantine 1 unit, as an embodiment of the desire President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, in restoring the Sidal complex to its position as a locomotive in the Algerian market.
