Kamal Ben Dhaif: The stock of agricultural materials is sufficient for the month of Ramadan and beyond – Al-Hiwar Al-Jazaeryya

The Director General of the National Joint Professional Office for Vegetables and Meat “UNILAV”, Kamal Ben Dhaif, confirmed in an interview with the “Al-Shaab” website that the stock of subsidized agricultural materials is sufficient to meet the demand during the month of Ramadan and beyond, and at reasonable prices within everyone’s reach.

The spokesman revealed that the Bureau will undertake the task of providing a “dynamic and permanent” stock throughout the year, not only at times of scarcity, relying on an accurate information system that determines production quantities and consumer needs, and allows it to intervene automatically to restore balance to the market and adjust prices so as to protect the farmer from losses and take into account purchasing power. to the citizen.

The spokesman explained that the Bureau opened more than 400 points of sale at the level of all states of the country, not to sell subsidized wide-consumer items, but rather all products under the tutelage of agriculture, such as milk and its derivatives, meat, grains and dry legumes, eggs, olives, potatoes, For example, but not limited to the capital, points of sale have been opened in Ain Al-Bunyan, and others in the Ministry of Agriculture in the center of the capital, Hussein Dey, and Bab Al-Wadi, and these points have been known since their opening to citizens with an unparalleled turnout.

The same official said, “The aim of control is to determine production capacities, and to know the citizen’s needs throughout the year, and this is what we are currently working on, especially since we are recording an increase in cultivated areas by thousands of hectares annually, and for this we must think about heading to major industrial crops and export.” As for the potato destined for consumption, which has become the most demanded and consumed, the control of this substance is carried out among the public offices. As for the other products, it is seized with the farmers, whom we accompany through the directorates of agriculture and the institutes and state institutions affiliated to the Ministry of Agriculture, and we provide them with support in seeds and fertilizers. And guidance, stressing that the Ministry of Agriculture accompanies them to the last stage, and partnership has been opened for private individuals in model farms.

In the same context, the spokesman mentioned that the Minister of Agriculture gave instructions, to work with bureaus and public associations such as the “Ghibli”, “GJ Yar” and “Jivapro” complexes, for the production of consumer potatoes. In order for these bureaus to undertake the process of potato production, at the level of their surroundings and model farms, to strengthen national production according to a public-public partnership, while keeping the doors open to private individuals wishing to engage in the control system.
