Kawthar Kreiko: Drug addiction is one of the most serious pests affecting our societal security – Al-Hiwar Al-Jazaeryya

Minister of National Solidarity, Family and Women’s Issues, Kawthar Kreiko, said today, Thursday, that drug addiction is one of the most dangerous pests and one of the biggest problems in the world because of its damage in all aspects.

And in a speech delivered by the extraordinary session of the National Council for the Family under the title “Mechanisms for Prevention and Control of Drug Dangers in the Family”, the Minister stressed that addiction is no longer limited to one type of drug, but rather to more dangerous types.

And the first official in the Ministry of Solidarity explained that the National Council for the Family and Women is an edifice to protect the Algerian family from the dangers surrounding it, we must protect our society and our country from these dangers.

In a related context, Minister Kawthar Kreiko highlighted that her interests are working to preserve the cohesion of family ties through the various means presented in the government’s action plan.

The minister said, “We work within a specialized pedagogical team to raise awareness of the dangers of drugs and educate the family.”

And the minister added, “There are neighborhood cells across the various regions of the country that participate in this sensitization with the various sectors and security wires.”

And the minister confirmed that her interests are working on reintegrating the affected individuals into the social milieu through treatment and protection centers for delinquents and adolescents, saying, “We follow them through these centers psychologically and socially, and through support and support programs.”

In the same context, Kawthar Kreiko explained that the council is considered one of the advisory bodies to implement the social sector policy, especially since this extraordinary session is intended to discuss ways to prevent this scourge.

The minister revealed that her ministerial department launched a ground platform to facilitate the communication of families affected by this scourge with specialized medical and social staff.
