The Director General of Customs, Noureddine Khaldi, revealed that customs collection in 2022 will reach 1,100 billion DZD, reflecting the efforts of the oversight institution to finance the public treasury.
“The sector, in operational coordination with various security institutions, has achieved qualitative operations in combating smuggling,” the spokesman said in a statement today, Tuesday, during a customs forum.
He also pointed out that the customs authority, as a regular body, carries out essential tasks, the most important of which is ensuring the protection of the national economy. And he accompanies the work of the government, especially with regard to providing facilities to customers and imposing legal trade controls.
In this regard, he added that in view of the role assigned to customs, it was necessary for customs services to be an effective party in defining the security strategy in operational coordination with various security institutions, and several specific operations were achieved in combating smuggling and refuting operations targeting the country, especially by introducing poisons that are intended Barons to hit Algeria.
For reference, for the year 2022, significant revenues were recorded and significant revenues were achieved for the state treasury estimated at 1100 billion DZD as the amount of fees, not to mention the proceeds of the mobile teams recruited to combat smuggling, where more than 10 tons of kif, 4 million units of tablets and 520 tons of Consumable material.
On the other hand, the spokesman revealed that the draft customs law had been completed, in which measures for the necessary framework for foreign trade were included.
