Mokhtar Didouche said, today, Thursday, during the work of the study day on evaluating and improving the National Award for Handicrafts and Crafts, that this measure aims to protect the traditional Algerian heritage and value the products of the Algerian traditional industry, which he said are of high importance and specificity, and have a considerable space in revitalization. And economic renewal with the aim of upgrading traditional industry activities and upgrading them to the level of a real industry that contributes to local and national development, pointing to the existence of challenges that impose concerted efforts from various sectors in order to remove obstacles and contribute to the integration of activists and actors in the field of traditional industry in the development and promotion of sector activities.

The Minister emphasized that the cultural heritage of Algeria is deeply rooted in history due to its diversity and richness. His interests work to protect this cultural heritage through all forms of accompaniment, supervision and support provided to the benefit of artisans, to instill a culture of entrepreneurship, raise their production potential and competitive capabilities, and enable them to adapt to transformations. social, economic and technological.
