And within the framework of valuing the research results related to the exploitation and protection of plant and marine resources, especially those related to the development of the production and use of natural essential oils and active substances in the pharmaceutical and medical industries.

The Minister of Industry and Pharmaceutical Production, Ali Aoun, accompanied by the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Kamal Badari, and the Minister of Environment and Renewable Energies, Fazia Dahlab, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, supervised the presentation of the databases that were created by researchers in the fields of medicinal plants. And marine biodiversity in Algeria, which is to be placed at the disposal of the Ministry of Industry and Pharmaceutical Production on the one hand and the Ministry of Environment and Renewable Energy on the other.

This meeting is an opportunity to launch research activities on medicinal plants, specifically at the level of the state of Tissemsilt, given its abundant plant and biological diversity, especially those found in the “Thaniyat al-Hadd” national reserve.

In his intervention, the Minister expressed the interest of the pharmaceutical production sector in particular in how to extract raw materials for medicines through medicinal herbs, as he revealed that reliance will be made on the research centers located in the state of Constantine, which have the capabilities necessary to study and use the pharmaceutical raw materials extracted from This weed.

In the same context, he revealed that the industry and pharmaceutical production sector, accompanied by the Ministry of Higher Education, will begin the process of counting these medicinal herbs to be exploited in the development of this type of pharmaceutical industry.
