Minister of Agriculture: “We aim to raise grain storage capacities to 9 million tons across the country” – Al-Hiwar Algeria

Today, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Abdel Hafeez Hani affirmed that the state’s established program aims to raise grain storage capacities to 9 million tons across the country, by the year 2025, adding, “We seek to achieve 1 million hectares of grain fields in the south.”

The minister said during a working visit to the wilaya of Ain Defla, today, Saturday, in order to give a signal to launch the implementation of the national program to enhance storage capacities in the field of grain, that 350 neighborhood centers will be embodied at the national level to enhance the national capabilities for storing grain, with a capacity ranging between 50 thousand and 70 thousand quintals.

The Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development is making a working visit to the wilaya of Ain Defla, in order to give a signal to launch the implementation of the national program to enhance storage capacities in the field of grain entrusted to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development. This is at the level of the neighborhood storage center in the municipality of Al-Ataf. The minister will also present the new system for the modernization of distribution and the digitization of the milk section of the public dairy, Arabe.
