The Minister of Irrigation, Taha Darbal, said today, Tuesday, that the signing of the agreement between the Algerian Water Corporation and the Professional Association of Banks and Financial Institutions is a continuation of the government’s action plan. Aiming to digitize the various sectors, especially those that ensure the provision of public services to citizens.
And the citizen will be able, officially, starting today, to pay the costs of water bills online, using “CIB” bank cards without moving around. The process is also done by accessing the Algerian Water website.
Today, Tuesday, the agreement was signed between Minister of Finance Aziz Fayed and Minister of Irrigation Taha Derbal. The Professional Association of Banks and Financial Institutions had announced a partnership agreement with the Algerian Water Company to allow citizens to pay water bills via the Internet.
The minister added that the irrigation sector is considered one of the most important sectors, and its importance came as a result of the public service it provides.
For his part, the director of Al Jazeera Water stated that the institution supervises the guarantee of drinking water across 58 states and for more than 38 million citizens, and confirmed that Al Jazeera Water sought to conclude this agreement in an effort to digitize and modernize the institution.
According to the ABEF statement, this agreement will allow citizens who hold bank and gold cards to pay the water bill via the Internet without going to the agency.
The same statement added that this service will allow bills to be paid in an easy and safe way, seven days a week and at any time.
And that is through the electronic platform of the Algerian Water, starting from the website for this service, www.ade.dz.
