The Minister of Mujahideen and People with Rights, Eid Rabika, affirmed this Monday that the issue of memory is at the heart of building the new Algeria, and aims to enable generations to share their share of historical knowledge, maintain emotional ties to memory and develop pride in belonging to the homeland.
Rabika said during his stay as a guest on the morning guest program on the second radio channel that the decisions issued by the President of the Republic, in this matter, are all in the field of preserving the historical and cultural heritage, which is characterized by momentum and many events, and which requires efforts to preserve and stabilize it, and to extract everything that benefits our youth today. And everything that serves the direction that we are following today in the lofty and noble direction of building the new Algeria.
He added, “Building a new Algeria is a determination to go to an Algeria that is built with the help of its youth, which is governed by that historical background that was characterized by sacrifice and redemption.”
The minister also appreciated the efforts of the residents of Setif and Kharrata in their interaction and spontaneous participation in the celebration of the National Day of Memory and the 78th anniversary of those bloody events, stressing that “there is an unparalleled interaction, on the part of citizens, through their spontaneous participation and active presence during the celebrations of the National Day of Memory and the 78th anniversary of the events of May 8, 1954″.
The spokesman added that the dimensions of this National Day of Remembrance include all the national history witnessed by the Algerians, from the sacrifices and suffering until the restoration of national sovereignty, praising the work of the first historians who made tremendous efforts to preserve the writing of national history.
