More than 790,000 candidates will, starting tomorrow, Sunday, be scheduled to pass the baccalaureate exam (June 2023 session), distributed in 2,674 centers across the national territory.
The total number of candidates for this exam is estimated at 790,515, including 269,539 free candidates. They are tested in six divisions: natural and life sciences, mathematics, technical mathematics, management and economics, foreign languages ​​and philosophy. The number of centers for collecting examination papers reached 18, while 88 centers were designated for correction.
The Minister of National Education, Abdel Hakim Belabed, had recently confirmed that all measures had been taken to conduct this exam in the best conditions, assuring the candidates that the exam topics would be among the lessons that were addressed in attendance during the current school season.
In the context of addressing the phenomenon of cheating and leaking or publishing topics, Mr. Belabed mentioned the processes of sensitization and raising awareness of the virtues of self-reliance, warning at the same time against involvement in these disgraceful phenomena and the consequent exclusion and prevention from passing the exam for a period of 5 or 10 years in relation to cases of fraud and criminal prosecutions And freedom-depriving penalties after leaking or publishing topics became a legal criminal.
He also stressed that the national school exams are no longer a place for tampering or entertainment, stressing that the law will be applied strictly against anyone who messes with or disturbs the students or tries to compromise the credibility of the exam.
In this context, the Ministry of Justice has taken a number of proactive measures, in coordination with the concerned sectors, where a vigilance and follow-up cell has been installed at the level of each judicial council under the presidency of the Public Prosecutor and the membership of each of the Director of Education, the head of state security, the commander of the regional group of the National Gendarmerie, the head of the interest Regional Department of Internal Security and everyone related to the subject.

Regarding the organizational procedures for the success of this national exam, the Secretary-General of the National Bureau for Examinations and Competitions, Hajj Kola Muhammad Al-Amin, affirmed that “all conditions are in place for the candidates to pass the baccalaureate exam, whether from a material or human point of view.”
Among these procedures is the provision of air-conditioners for the centers, especially those located in the southern states and the interior regions, and the selection of the heads of the procedure centers, the secretariat, professors, and guards who are distinguished by competence, integrity and experience to ensure the good conduct of this national exam, in addition to appointing an observer at the level of each procedure center to add credibility and embody the principle of equal opportunity among the candidates. .
By the way, the same official gave several tips to the candidates, mainly represented in reading the instructions written in their summons and adhering to them, checking the place of the examination in advance to avoid any delay, and taking the summons and ID card daily to show them when entering the center.
Regarding the timing of the opening of exam centers, the same official confirmed that the doors open an hour before the start of the exams, while the enrollment of candidates in the exam halls is at least half an hour before the start of each exam, indicating that “it is considered late and recorded in a special register located at the level of the entrances to the procedure centers for each of He joins after eight o’clock in the morning (08:00 a.m.) in the morning shift and after two thirty (14:30 a.m.) in the evening.”
He also indicated that “it is strictly forbidden for any candidate to enter or leave the procedure center after opening the envelopes containing the subject questions,” and “it is not allowed to leave the procedure center until half of the test period for each subject has passed.”
Concerning purposes and mobile phones, the same official explained that “a hall has been allocated to deposit all the personal belongings of the recruiters and candidates.”
In order to secure this exam, the General Directorate of National Security has set a number of procedures and measures aimed at securing 2221 exam centers located within its jurisdiction.
In this regard, mounted and pedestrian patrols have been harnessed to ensure smooth traffic and facilitate traffic, especially through the axes leading to and surrounding the examination centers, in addition to security formations that ensure the transfer of question topics and answer sheets to the collection centers.
For reference, the success rate for the baccalaureate exam last year was estimated at 61.17 percent.
