Al-Zaywani stated that he was optimistic about “us” reaching the short list for poker, but he put the possibility of not getting up in order not to be shocked, and commented: “Of course I was somewhat optimistic about the short, but I put the possibility of not getting up for the short so as not to be shocked,” adding in the same context: “You cannot predict what your text will reach in the coronation race among the short cohorts, for the simple reason that you have not seen the competing texts.”
“Mana” is a historical and political novel published in 2021 by Dar Al-Dawaya for publication and distribution. It deals with the issue of the migration of the Tuareg from northern Mali after the 1973 drought and the formation of their diaspora in southern Algeria, and then their travel to Libya after Gaddafi’s invitation to them to open their training camps in order to help them establish a state.
