Outcome.. Arresting 13 members of support for terrorist groups and seizing quantities of Moroccan kif – Al-Hiwar Al-Jazairia

The Ministry of National Defense published the results of the activities of People’s National Army from 01 to 10 January 2023.

The army detachments succeeded in 13 elements supporting terrorist groups, detecting and destroying a hideout for terrorists and (10) homemade bombs in Djelfa, Setif, Boumerdes and Tipaza.

Combined detachments of People’s National Army, in coordination with the various security services, stopped during various operations across the military regions (124) drug dealers and thwarted attempts to bring in huge quantities of drugs across the border with Morocco, estimated at (12) quintals and (65) kilograms of treated kif. And (1.5) kilograms of cocaine and (483,485) hallucinogenic tablets were seized.
In Tamanrasset, Bordj Badji Mokhtar, In Vizam, Djanet and Tindouf, detachments of People’s National Army arrested (131) people and seized (58) vehicles, (319) generators, (177) hammers, (06) metal detectors, and (02) ) a ton of a mixture of stones and gold ore, in addition to huge quantities of explosives, detonating equipment and other equipment used in illegal gold exploration operations,
(43) people were arrested and (02) automatic pistols, (25) hunting rifles, (1000) cartridges were seized, and quantities of foodstuffs destined for smuggling and speculation are estimated at (141) tons, as well as (82) tons of tobacco and (10256) units of various kinds. Alcoholic beverages, and this during sporadic operations across the national territory.
Border guards, in coordination with the National Gendarmerie, thwarted attempts to smuggle large quantities of fuel estimated at (241,791) liters in Bordj Badji Mokhtar, Souk Ahras, El Tarf and Adrar.
