Pictures.. The information mission of the Committee for Economic Affairs concludes its mission in the Algerian state of Tiaret – Al-Hiwar

As a continuation of his lined work program for the western Algerian states, which included the states of (Tlemcen, Sidi Bel Abbes, Oran, Mostaganem, Mascara, Relizane and Tiaret), the delegation of the Inquiry Committee on the Committee of Economic Affairs, Development, Industry, Trade and Planning, headed by Kamal Belkheder, Chairman of the Committee, saw yesterday, Wednesday, February 22 2023, the industrial zones and areas of activity in the state of Tiaret, and I also listened to the concerns of investors in the same state.

At the beginning of the visit, the delegation, accompanied by the concerned executive directors, moved to the industrial zone of Za’arourah, where they listened to a presentation on the status of the industrial sector in the wilaya, which contains three industrial zones (Zarourah 1, 2, Ain Boushaqif).

The delegation noted shortcomings related to the problem of connecting to the water, gas, and internet network, as well as linking the state to the east-west highway, and to the railway.

To see, in a related context, Frigomedit, which specializes in storing and valuing agricultural products, and is 95% ready, which lacks some equipment spare parts that must be imported from abroad. The fluctuation in the electric current, and the delegation also looked at the status of the former public company, EDCO West Building, where it registered demands to benefit from projects by mutual consent with public institutions in order to preserve the labor force that has not received its salary for 11 months.

Then the delegation moved to the municipality of Madrissa, where they examined the MBA DjDiD mill, whose owner invested approximately 47 billion DZD. Three other investors complained about the problem of the exploitation license, after which the BAHDJA LAiT dairy was inspected, where the owner demanded the return of his share of the milk powder that was cut off from him a month ago. Joan Al-Faret, and in the same regard demanded an increase in the state’s share of milk powder in order to achieve self-sufficiency.

The visit program concluded with a meeting with investors and economic dealers, where the head of the delegation, Kamal Belkhader, revealed that the Committee for Economic Affairs, Development, Industry, Trade and Planning, within the framework of the powers vested in it by law, is accompanying the program of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune in the economic section, which aims to advance development and recovery. The economy, as well as making the year 2023 the year of real economic take-off, as well as the instructions and directives of the President of the National People’s Assembly, Ibrahim Bogali, which center on diagnosing the real obstacles that impede the good course of economic projects.

For their part, investors and economic dealers demanded the need to reconsider many regulatory decrees structuring investment and export. They also raised the problem of dealing with banks and the problem of economic real estate, calling on the one hand to ease employment procedures through the National Agency for Employment, and to give them tax incentives on the other hand.

After the end of the meeting, the head of the delegation, Kamal Belkhader, renewed his assertion that all the concerns that he stood on and recorded during this information mission that roamed some western Algerian states, in the form of a detailed report to be delivered to the guardianship authorities, would be lifted.
