Abdelmadjid Tebboune, President of the Republic, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces and Minister of National Defense, presided over a meeting of the Council of Ministers, which was devoted to discussing the cinematographic industry draft law, and presentations regarding the measures taken, during the holy month of Ramadan, to develop major industrial projects structured for the energy sector and mines, and projects to develop networks Railways.
After the President opened the meeting, listened to the content of the agenda, and gave the floor to the Prime Minister to present the outcome of the government’s activities for the last two weeks, the President of the Republic gave the following orders, instructions, and directives:
At the outset, the President of the Republic ordered that the demolition of illegal inhabited buildings be carried out according to a carefully studied plan, prepared by the governors, and then submitted to the Minister of Interior, for a final decision, after exhausting all means of legal administrative settlements. The demolition of inhabited dwellings should not take place during the winter season.
Regarding the measures taken to ensure supply during the month of Ramadan:
The creation of an accurate vigilance apparatus, during this week, in coordination between the Ministries of Interior, Agriculture and Trade, to undertake the daily monitoring and follow-up of the supply of the market, with various basic materials, which have become exploited by gangs to destabilize social stability.
Mr. President stressed that reducing the import bill is not at the expense of prejudice to the needs of the citizen, but rather by taking into account the availability of national production, both in quantity and quality.
Intensification of warning and control systems, starting with neighborhoods, villages and villages, with the involvement of local authorities, with the aim of controlling the prices of basic materials and supplying markets of all kinds.
Concerning the draft law relating to the cinematographic industry:
The President of the Republic ordered the postponement of the draft law in order to enrich it, taking into account the following directives:
Holding special sessions, in the cinema sector, with the participation of actors and professionals of the Algerian sector, inside and outside the country.
Mr. President stressed his keenness to ensure that the new artist law includes mechanisms to take care of the social aspects of all Algerian creators, regardless of their arts, in gratitude for the beautiful images they presented and present about Algeria.
That the law be a real motivator and encourager of desire and give the ability to produce cinema according to a creative vision that restores Algeria’s luster with this vital activity within society.
The law should take into account the various shifts and developments in the field of cinematic work, in a way that responds to the aspirations of young people wishing to specialize in this field.
Setting clear mechanisms for supplying cinematic projects, in accordance with the laws of the Republic.
Regarding the development of major industrial projects structured for the energy sector and mines:
The President of the Republic rejected all the long-term deadlines for the completion of the railway lines between Annaba and Bilad al-Hadba, and between Bechar and Gara Jbeilat, passing through Tindouf, ordering them to be reduced immediately.
He ordered the completion of these lines, according to international standards, and as quickly as possible, in partnership with international companies, which are pushing to double the production capacities and transform them, taking into account the heavy economic necessity of the two projects.
