The President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, renewed the state’s commitment to continue its efforts to enhance the purchasing power of the citizen, through a number of measures such as raising wages and grants, and directing support to those who deserve it.
President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, during the periodic media meeting with representatives of the national press, which is broadcast today, Thursday, alluded to the tampering taking place with the support that the state adheres to in compliance with its social nature, and stressed the need to “generalize digitization so that we can count families who have one income … it will come A day when digitization becomes a reality and the hidden will be revealed.” This will enable a real census of needy and low-income families, allowing them to benefit from support in various forms within the framework of the policy of directing support included in the president’s commitments and in the government’s action plan.
Always in the social aspect, President Tebboune reassured citizens in fulfillment of his promises related to improving the purchasing power in order to preserve the dignity of Algerians, as he reaffirmed by saying, “We are always moving towards strengthening the citizen’s purchasing power and raising salaries annually.” It is expected that the increases in wages and grants will come into effect at the beginning of next January, after the signing of the Finance Law 2023, within the framework of the gradual increase in wages that began a year ago.
