The Director General of the Algerian Authority for Accreditation “Algerac”, Noureddine Boudissa, called on the authorities to provide accredited laboratories for quality control and to ensure the safety and quality of cars imported from abroad or those manufactured in Algeria.
Today, Monday, during the “Guest of the Morning” radio program, Boudissa indicated that Algeria imports large quantities of auto parts, the monetary value of which in hard currency amounted to about one billion and 200 million dollars for various types, and the call comes to provide quality control laboratories for imported and soon manufactured cars in Algeria, after the issuance of the executive decree related to the import of cars less than 3 years old.
On the other hand, Boudissa considered that the international accreditation of “Algerac” by international bodies on February 23, 2023 is an economic and sovereign gain to protect and promote the Algerian product and ensure its presence in foreign markets. In light of the desire of many countries to invest, similar to (Germany, Turkey…) to improve the national product and contribute to economic development.
