Restoration of seven guns dating back to the Ottoman period – Al-Hiwar Algeria

The Ministry of Culture and Arts, in coordination with the interests of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the national community abroad, was able to “recover seven guns dating back to the Ottoman period,” as “these historical pieces are of great importance from an archaeological and artistic point of view,” according to a ministry statement.
The statement added that these “antique rifles were offered for sale in an electronic auction in London, before the Algerian state’s interests intervened to retrieve them,” noting that “they will be incorporated into the list of national museum collections.”
