Saeed Khatibi is crowned with the Sheikh Zayed Book Award, Young Author Branch – Al-Hiwar Algeria

The young Algerian novelist, Saeed Khatibi, killed the Sheikh Zayed Book Award, the young author’s branch, for his novel “The End of the Desert,” published in 2022 by Dar Nofal Lebanon.

The Sheikh Zayed Book Award, organized by the Abu Dhabi Center for the Arabic Language of the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi, announced the names of the winners of its 17th session.

This year, it received the largest number of nominations in its nine branches since its inception, and the total number of nominations for the award reached 3151 nominations from 60 countries, including 22 Arab countries and 38 countries from around the world.

The Young Author Award was returned to the Algerian novelist Sait Khatibi for his novel “The End of the Desert”, where the work possesses originality in style, and in the novelistic technique based on suspense, in terms of coordinating, arranging and escalating events. This work belongs to the rare historical detective novel in contemporary Arabic literature that addresses the younger generation.
