The head of the Supreme Authority for Transparency, Prevention and Combating Corruption, Salima Masrati, accompanied by an important delegation, is visiting Egypt, at the invitation of the Egyptian Administrative Oversight Authority, in order to “support and strengthen” means of cooperation and promotion.
A statement by the same authority, today, Sunday, stated that this visit extends from the 25th to the 28th of this month, and falls within the framework of “supporting and strengthening ways of cooperation and promoting it, and establishing partnership rules with specialized international bodies in the field of preventing and combating corruption and related fields.”
The authority’s statement indicated that during this visit, a “memorandum of understanding and cooperation will be signed between the supreme authority and the Egyptian Administrative Control Authority,” which aims to “set up a framework that regulates mechanisms and methods of work and areas of cooperation and joint coordination between the two parties, especially cooperation in the field of building and strengthening capacities through the exchange of Visiting experts and organizing specialized training courses for the benefit of the executives of the higher authority.
Thanks to this memorandum, the same source adds, “information, experiences, best practices, and approved approaches in the field of preventing and combating corruption will be exchanged, especially with regard to the preparation, implementation, follow-up, and evaluation of anti-corruption policies and strategies,” in addition to “cooperation in the field of studies and academic research on the subject of corruption.” Measure efforts to combat it, encourage joint scientific publications, and jointly organize international events related to combating corruption and other topics of common interest.
