Zimbabwean Parliament Speaker Jacob Mudenda stressed Thursday in Algiers the need to raise the level of political relations and economic partnership between Algeria and his country.
In a statement he made after his reception by the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, Mudenda stressed “the need to raise the level of political relations and economic partnership” between the two countries, adding that President Tebboune assured him of his “continued support for the Zimbabwean people.”
He also indicated that the President of the Republic assured him in the same context that “Algeria is ready to work with the Republic of Zimbabwe, especially in the sectors of education and the economy.”
In this context, he stated that President Tebboune “carried a message to his Zimbabwean counterpart,” stating that he “assigned the Minister of Energy and Mines to pay a working visit to this country in order to develop the energy sector and enhance cooperation in this field.”
It is noteworthy that this reception took place in the presence of the President of the National People’s Assembly, Ibrahim Bogali, and the Director of the Office of the Presidency of the Republic, Muhammad al-Nazir al-Arabawi.
