Syria praises Algeria’s efforts during its presidency of the Arab summit – the Algerian Dialogue

The Syrian Minister of Economy and Foreign Trade, Samer Al-Khalil, praised, on Monday, from Jeddah, the efforts made by Algeria during its presidency of the recent Arab summit, which resulted in “a large group of decisions” that actually enshrined Arab reunification, according to the Algerian News Agency.

Samer Al-Khalil said, at the outset of his intervention during the Economic and Social Council preparatory meeting for the Arab summit meeting, “I extend my sincere thanks to the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria for the great efforts it made during its presidency of the work of the previous session, which resulted in a wide range of decisions that confirm the importance of joint Arab action.” .

In his speech, the Syrian minister added, “Generations of the sons of our Arab countries have grown up on phrases that are already connected, confirming Arab affiliation and fraternal relations between the sons of the same country. And as the recent Arab summit held in Algeria confirmed this fact, the teamwork and efforts that were made later to reach the upcoming summit reflected one fact that embracing is a human act that enhances the sense of brotherhood and belonging to the same family.

Since its presidency of the Arab League, Algeria has been able to put an end to Arab fragmentation and reunification, which resulted in the return of Syria to its Arab home, as well as to achieve a quantum leap, especially in the direction of the Palestinian cause, which returned to the forefront of events strongly, and the rapprochement between the brothers in Palestine.

The 31st regular session of the League of Arab States Council at the summit level, which Algeria hosted on its soil, early last November, was a milestone, its outputs confirmed the need for Syria to return to its seat in the Arab League again, because of its history and capabilities that enable it to provide added value. To joint Arab action.

The next summit of the Council of the League of Arab States is scheduled to be held on May 19, 2023 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
