The auto industry in Algeria is the focus of an economic forum in Italy next Monday – Al-Hiwar Al-Jazairia

The Algerian Embassy in Italy will organize, in Turin, next Monday, an economic forum on “Prospects for the Development of the Automotive Industry in Algeria”, with the aim of motivating Italian auto equipment manufacturers to develop their activities in Algeria, especially after the auto industry project launched by the “Stelantis” group in Algeria.

This forum is part of the framework of strengthening and diversifying Algerian-Italian cooperation and partnership relations and in light of the significant improvement of the business climate in Algeria.

This forum, which will bring together nearly 100 Algerian and Italian economic operators and institutional representatives, will be an opportunity for dealers active in the automotive components sector to explore ways and means to establish cooperation in this field, and will be an additional asset to the series of achievements made by the two parties in recent years.

Through this forum, the Algerian side aims, on the one hand, to promote and promote the country’s image by presenting the various structural reforms undertaken by the government to improve the business climate, especially its adoption of a new legal framework for investments, and on the other hand, to seize the positive dynamic resulting from the official launch of the brand’s marketing. brand “FIAT” in Algeria, on March 19, 2023, with the aim of motivating Italian auto equipment manufacturers to develop their activities in Algeria.

The large investment of the Italian auto giant in Oran, estimated at about 200 million euros, which is scheduled to go into production next December, reinforces the Algerian government’s political options to create a real sector for the auto industry in Algeria.

The forum’s program includes a plenary session and substantive panel discussions on the business climate, the competitiveness of the Algerian economy and prospects for the development of the auto components industry in Algeria. On the reforms undertaken by the government to encourage foreign direct investment and the administrative and operational measures to develop their projects in Algeria, not to mention the facilities granted in this context, especially those related to industrial real estate.
