Yolanda Diyath, who is preparing to run in the upcoming elections, on behalf of the broad base “Sumar”, announced her position on the Sahrawi issue and what the Prime Minister, Mr. Pedro Sanchez, said in support of the Moroccan regime in its expansionist policy.
In a question about whether Yolanda intends to break the agreement with the Kingdom of Morocco in the event of her ascension to the premiership, she said, “It is clear to me about my position in this regard that I will abandon that agreement without any doubt,” and indicated that her position is a classic position regarding dealing with Morocco and Western Sahara. Noting that she had previously expressed her positions publicly.
She added, “I know very well that we must deal seriously with the Moroccan neighbor, which is nothing more than a dictatorial country.” She said, during the conversation, “My relationship with Morocco must be based on respect for human rights and international legitimacy.”
In his response to Mrs. Diyath’s statements, Abdallah Orabi, representative of the Polisario Front in Spain, made it clear, in a tweet on his Twitter account, that he commends this clarity and rigor on the part of Soumar’s candidate regarding Western Sahara.
