The Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee receives the Ambassador of the Republic of South Korea – Al-Hiwar Al-Jazaery

The Chairman of the Foreign Affairs, Cooperation and Diaspora Committee, Salim Merah, and members of the committee received today, Tuesday, at the Council’s headquarters, the Ambassador of the Republic of South Korea to Algeria

During the meeting, Merah reviewed the bilateral relations between the two countries and the prospects for strengthening them, especially the strategic partnership that brings the two countries together, and the positive results it achieved at the economic level, with a special focus on the transfer of modern technologies and the formation of specialized personnel, stressing the parliamentary role in revitalizing these relations, and also touched on issues related to encouraging investment efforts, especially after the ratification of the new investment law, praising the role played by the Republic of Korea in the field of building new cities and mechanical industries, and expressing the hope that this cooperation will include other fields, especially the field of the automotive industry, home electrical industries and renewable energies, and in this context he praised Chairman of the Committee, the increasing dynamism that characterizes the relations between the two countries, especially in the economic field, according to the principle of win-win.

Speaking about Algeria’s foreign policy, the Chairman of the Committee mentioned Algeria’s firm position based on non-interference in the internal affairs of countries and encouraging a peaceful and political solution based on dialogue and mutual respect, highlighting in the same context the role of parliamentarians in supporting bilateral relations through the two groups of friendship as a link that contributes to bringing Points of view and coordination of positions on issues of common interest.

For his part, the Ambassador of the Republic of South Korea expressed his country’s readiness to cooperate with Algeria in all fields, noting the material and human capabilities that our country abounds in, which would make it a competitive country with distinction and an important strategic partner.
