The Confederation of Education Unions calls for the withdrawal of the two draft union rights bills – Al-Hiwar Al-Jazaeryia

Today, Saturday, the Confederation of Education Trade Unions demanded the withdrawal of the two trade union rights bills until broadcasting them with the trade unions without exclusion.

The Confederation said in its meeting today that the reasons for withdrawing this project are the non-involvement of trade union organizations when preparing it. The trade union bill contradicts what is stated in the constitution and the charters ratified by Algeria.
The Confederation said that the trade union right bill undermines freedoms and interferes directly and incorrectly with the work of the trade union system for education workers. Strike, which is considered a constitutional right, has been undermined by this law for trade unionists with impossible conditions and not as it promotes in form only. We will work hard to review this trade union law without allow it to pass.

Elias Murabet, head of the Public Health Union, said: We join our voice to all the unions with whom we share positions and fate. Murabit added: We demand the withdrawal of the trade union right bill and we demand a reconsideration of it with the involvement of all trade unions. .

He said that this prospective law is an exclusion of freedoms and trade union rights altogether and in detail, and he said that raising trade union representation in this draft law to about 30 percent, which trade unions will not be able to achieve, is an impossible condition and is undoubtedly intended, given that it does not correspond to covers of reality.
On the other hand, Jamal Gul said in his response to a question regarding if this law is approved, the trade union work will be weak and it is not possible to predict the number of trade unions that remain involved in the field. It is possible to predict who will be affected by the exclusion guillotine.
