The former international goalkeeper of the Algerian Federation, Kamal Taher, died today, Wednesday, at the age of 78, according to what was learned from the Asmi Club, which is active in the first professional football league.

Kamal Tahir was born on January 11, 1945 in Boulogne (Algiers Province), where he started his football career with the Algerian Federation before moving to JS Kabylie. The deceased also carried the Algerian national team shirt on 11 occasions, from 1966 to May 11, 1974, the date of his last interview against Tunisia (a 2-1 defeat).

And with the Algerian federation, the deceased participated in the years 1969 and 1970 in the final of the Algerian Cup, in addition to the final of the Maghreb Cup for the cup-winning clubs in 1970.

After moving to the ranks of JS Kabylie, Kamal Taher won three championships for Algeria (1973, 1974, 1977) in addition to the Algerian Cup in 1977 and the Premier Cup in 1973.

The body of the deceased will be buried today, Wednesday, after Asr prayer, in the cemetery of Oulad Iach (Blida state), according to a statement by the Union of the Capital Club.
