Minister of Post and Telecommunications, Karim Bibi Triki, supervised, today, Tuesday, in Algiers, the inauguration of Mohamed Hedi Hannachi, the new head of the Post and Electronic Communications Control Authority, to succeed Zinedine Belattar.
The minister emphasized the importance of this authority in achieving the goals of the state in the field of infrastructure development to upgrade services directed to citizens, as well as its role in the growth of the national economy, given that modern technologies and electronic communications are the future. The minister added that the new management of the control authority faces different challenges than what the sector knew, which was based on controlling competition and arbitration, noting that “the bet today is to improve electronic communication services with this huge amount of needs, especially with the development of electronic commerce.”
The source referred to the role and contributions of the postal and telecommunications sector, including the authority to control postal and electronic communications during the Covid-19 pandemic, as it “watched to meet the needs of citizens as well as economic institutions in a period when the demand for the sector increased significantly.”
