The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development announced the start of marketing red meat imported from Sudan, starting today, Sunday, in large areas and points of sale belonging to the Al-Jazira Red Meat Complex.
The Ministry of Agriculture stated in a statement that imported meat will be marketed at a fixed price of 1,200 DZD per kilogram, in order to enable consumers to purchase it at low prices. In the context, the Ministry announced the arrival of a third ship loaded with more than 3,000 heads of calves destined for slaughter from the same country within days, within the framework of supplying the market with red meat, and under its supervision and on the process of importing calves through the Algerian Red Meat “ALVIAR”, where it arrived The day before yesterday, Friday, the second ship loaded with 2,500 heads of calves destined for slaughter, coming from South America (the Brazilian Republic), whose meat will be marketed at a fixed price of 1,200 DZD.
As a reminder, fresh red meat imported from the Republic of Sudan will be offered starting today, and the process of receiving other shipments will continue on a regular basis, and an electronic link has been set up for “Farming Markets” that includes all points of sale distributed at the level of the national territory.
