The Islamic Scouts recruit 60,000 volunteers during the month of Ramadan – Al-Hiwar Al-Jazaeryia

The number of young Algerian Islamic Scouts involved in the solidarity operations organized across the states of the country during the month of Ramadan has reached 60,000 volunteers, said today, Wednesday, in Blida, the general commander of this institution, Abdel Rahman Hamzaoui.
Hamzawy said in a statement to the press on the sidelines of his review of the solidarity operations organized by the scouts in the state that the number of young volunteers involved in the various solidarity operations organized by the scouts during the month of Ramadan exceeded 60,000 volunteers distributed in the various states of the country.

He said that the Algerian Islamic Scouts are “a pioneer in the field of charitable work aimed at helping the needy and indoctrinating the youth and children involved in the scout regiments, the values ​​of solidarity and interdependence.”

Among the most prominent solidarity operations that the Scouts leadership is keen to organize every month of Ramadan is the opening of more than 600 Iftar restaurants for the fasting person, distributed across the states of the country, which provide significant numbers of ready-made meals that are served on the spot to the needy and passers-by, or movable and distributed to needy families or workers in workshops. Residents work away from their families, according to the same spokesperson.

He pointed out that the program of work of this institution during the month of Ramadan also includes the distribution of food parcels to needy families to “support the state’s efforts to provide for this category.” This work was launched before the advent of the month of Ramadan and is still ongoing, noting the efforts of all benefactors who provided aid, whether to support restaurants. Fasting breakfast or for the acquisition of such in-kind aid.

During this visit, the Commander-in-Chief of the Algerian Islamic Scouts observed the progress of the process of distributing ready-made meals to workers in workshops and needy families in the municipality of Bouinan (east) and the Driouch neighborhood in Bouarfa (west) and Boufarik (north), as well as breakfast tables across a number of municipalities such as Bouguera and Ben Khalil. .

Hamzawi also supervised during this visit, which he will conclude by sharing breakfast with the families of orphans, the elderly, scout leaders and local authorities in the municipality of Awlad Yaish, by launching an awareness campaign in this state with the participation of the Environment Directorate to reduce the phenomenon of waste.
