The Ministry of Religious Affairs and Endowments confirmed, on its official Facebook page, that the meeting of the National Committee for Crescent Moons and Islamic Times will take place on Thursday evening, Ramadan 29 1444 AH / April 20, 2023 CE, at the Imam’s House in Mohammedia, Algiers.
According to the ministry’s statement, the committee will receive the results of sighting the crescent from the committees spread across all states of the country, before announcing the date of entering the month of Shawwal and Eid Al-Fitr.
