The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the National Community Abroad organized today, Thursday, at its headquarters in Algiers, a celebration to commemorate the 61st anniversary of the Independence and Youth Days, in the presence of the Ministry’s executives.
By the way, a wreath of flowers was laid in front of the memorial, the opening of the book was read, and a minute of silence was observed to have mercy on the souls of the martyrs of the blessed liberation revolution.
This celebration is a tradition perpetuated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the national community abroad, in commemoration of the great sacrifices made by the martyrs and fighters of the liberation revolution in order to liberate the homeland and restore national sovereignty.
In a speech on the occasion, the Acting General Director of Communication, Media and Documentation, Abdallah Boukamache, mentioned the “grave sacrifices” of the Algerian people who adhered to the sacred national principles with “determination and solidity while leading a fierce war against colonialism.”
He added that the victorious Algerian revolution “was and still is a source of inspiration and a model for the peoples who are languishing under colonialism and yearn for freedom and emancipation, and one of the fruits of the sacrifices of our proud people through all the stations was supporting liberation movements all over the world and raising awareness among the international community of the need to eradicate colonialism.” The right of peoples to self-determination through the mechanisms of the United Nations.
He went on to say that “in fulfillment of the principles of the eternal November Revolution and the sacrifices of the righteous martyrs, and in light of the tensions and challenges the world is witnessing today, Algeria continues today, under the leadership of the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, its involvement in various efforts aimed at establishing peace around the world and contributing to the development of The stability of peoples in the various spaces of their belonging, which earned them the confidence of all their partners, and this was embodied through the many achievements of Algerian diplomacy, the latest of which was its ability to gain non-permanent membership in the UN Security Council.
