The National Assembly condemns the storming of the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque and calls for embodying the content of the Algiers Declaration – the Algerian Dialogue

This Saturday in Cairo, the National Assembly condemned the storming of the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque, calling for the actual embodiment of the content of the Algiers Declaration issued by the 31st Arab Summit and the preservation of the spirit of the Palestinian reconciliation agreement signed under the auspices of the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, according to a statement by the Assembly.

The same source stated that the head of the parliamentary group for the presidential third in the National Assembly, Mr. Saed Arous, during his participation in the work of the 29th session of the Executive Committee of the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union in Cairo, “strongly condemned the Zionist minister’s storming of the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque with the blessing of his extremist government,” calling for “the actual embodiment of the content of The Algiers Declaration issued by the 31st Arab Summit, especially the emphasis on the centrality of the Palestinian cause and the preservation of unity and unification of the Palestinian ranks embodied in the Palestinian reconciliation agreement in Algeria under the auspices of the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune.

The representative of the National Assembly also stressed “the necessity of preserving the spirit of this agreement and promoting it to higher levels of effectiveness and continuity, and working to bring the Palestinian cause to the circle of clarity in vision, means and goal, as stated in the Algiers Declaration.”

During the session devoted to organizational messages – the statement adds – Mr. Arous noted the “amendments initiated by the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union in its charter and by-laws to be consistent with its work strategy”, reviewing “Algeria’s successful experience in change and renewal through deep reform workshops in all fields, as a continuation of the building of Algeria The foundations of which were laid by the President of the Republic.

He also welcomed Iraq’s proposal to host the next session of the Union Conference in the capital, Baghdad.

The meeting’s agenda included a study of “several organizational axes, including the report of the Secretary-General of the Union and the activities of the General Secretariat of the Union since the last session of the Executive Committee, as well as the draft budget for the year 2023, in addition to approving the amendment of the Charter of the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union and its internal system, and reviewing its work strategy for the period from 2023 to 2026.” .

Yesterday, Friday, the representative of the National Assembly participated in the meetings of the Legal Team Committee and the Arab Parliamentary Excellence Award Committee, and this is within the framework of a series of regular meetings initiated by the Arab Parliamentary Union in preparation for the next annual conference.
