Today, Sunday, Speaker of the National Assembly, Salih Vogel, chaired a meeting of the parliament’s office, expanded by the heads of parliamentary groups and the parliamentary observer, which was devoted to considering the work calendar of the National Assembly during the period between 09 and 11 January.
The office of the Council renewed its appreciation for the leap that Algeria witnessed during the three years of the President of the Republic’s assumption of the reins of the country at the national and international levels, rejoicing at the firm steps that the new Algeria is taking on the path of development and economic take-off.
The National Assembly Office expressed its certainty that the year 2023, especially in light of the record and unprecedented budget, would preserve the independence of the political decision supported by the independence of the economic decision and address the major economic bets in national life.
The Speaker revealed that the activities of celebrating the 25th anniversary of the founding of the National Assembly had been graciously sponsored by the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune.
Gojil said that the amendments that will be made to the organic law that governs the functional relationship between the legislative and executive bodies, in addition to reviewing the internal system of the Council, would take into account a review of the methods, work and functioning of this constitutional institution in a way that befits its position in the institutional hierarchy.
Regarding the National Assembly’s work calendar during the coming period, it decided to resume public sessions, starting tomorrow morning, Monday, by proving the membership of Muhammad Taher Bilal, the new member appointed by the President of the Republic in the National Assembly, with the title of the presidential third.
This will be immediately followed by the presentation and discussion of the text of the law amending and supplementing Law No. 05-01 of February 6, 2005, related to the prevention and combating of money laundering and terrorist financing, provided that the plenary session will be devoted to Wednesday, January 11, to vote on the text of the law under study.
The National Assembly Office decided to refer ten (10) oral questions and five (05) written questions to the government to meet the required formal conditions.
