The Central Criminal Investigation Service of the National Gendarmerie in Cheraga managed to dismantle a criminal network impersonating the Algerian Red Crescent.
The network was carrying out illegal imports and the introduction of foreign goods.
It was also taking advantage of the customs exemptions that the Algerian Red Crescent benefits from, given its charitable activities.
The operation resulted in the arrest of 8 persons, including a woman. And the seizure of 4 containers in the port of Algeria coming from foreign countries.
In addition, 510 parcels containing used clothes and shoes were seized. And 4,130 parcels containing motor oils.
The financial value of the reservations was estimated at more than 24 billion centimeters.
