Yesterday, Friday evening, at the House of Culture, Ahmed Reda Houhou, in Biskra, opened the activities of the Days of Eloquent Arabic Poetry, with the participation of 30 poets and writers who came from several states of the country.
This cultural event began with a bouquet of poems, in which male and female poets excelled, such as Latifa Al-Hirbawi, Lazhar Ajiri, Ahmed Shawky Boutiba, and Mounia Lakhdari about the homeland, spinning, nostalgia, pain, and human situations that the poets lived and excelled in describing.
According to the program of the event, participants will deliver, in addition to poetry evenings, lectures and revitalizing literary seminars on the stakes of criticism and creativity in Algerian poetry, as well as mechanisms for enriching reading and listening, especially for new generations, as well as artistic performances by local folklore groups.
During his supervision of the opening of the demonstration, the Director General of the Algerian Agency for Cultural Radiation, Abdelkader Bendamash, highlighted that these cultural days, which fall within the program of the Ministry of Culture and Arts to celebrate the 60th anniversary of independence, aim to combine meaningful words and high-end artistic expressions to enrich the national cultural scene.
For reference, this two-day cultural event organized by the Algerian Agency for Cultural Radiation in coordination with the State Directorate for Culture and Arts will include honoring a number of poets and writers, according to the organizers.
