Units and detachments of People’s National Army carried out, during the period from March 29 to April 04, 2023, several operations that yielded qualitative results that reflect the extent of the high professionalism, vigilance and constant readiness of our Armed Forces throughout the national territory:

Joint detachments of People’s National Army arrested (14) elements supporting terrorist groups in separate operations across the national territory, while (01) FMPK submachine guns were seized during a search operation in Tamanrasset.

Within the framework of the fight against organized crime and as a continuation of the relentless efforts aimed at confronting the scourge of drug trafficking in our country, joint detachments of People’s National Army, in coordination with the various security services, thwarted, during operations across the military regions, (44) drug dealers and thwarted attempts to bring in large quantities of drugs across the border with Morocco. , estimated at (04) quintals and (60) kilograms of treated kif, while (28907) hallucinogenic tablets were seized.

In Tamanrasset, Bordj Badji Mokhtar, Ingham, Tindouf and Djanet, detachments of People’s National Army arrested (174) people and seized (22) vehicles, (147) generators, (45) hammers, (01) metal detectors and (66) tons. of a mixture of gold ore and stones, in addition to quantities of explosives, detonating equipment and other equipment used in illegal gold exploration operations, while (08) other persons were arrested and (10) hunting rifles and (01) automatic pistol and huge quantities of food were seized. For smuggling and speculation, it is estimated at (66) tons, as well as (3000) units of various fireworks, and this is during sporadic operations across the national territory.

On the other hand, border guards, in coordination with the National Gendarmerie and Customs, thwarted attempts to smuggle large quantities of fuel estimated at (17,146) liters in Bordj Badji Mokhtar, Souk Ahras, El Tarf and Tebessa, while (227) illegal immigrants of different nationalities were arrested across the national territory. .
