The representative of the Polisario Front at the United Nations and the coordinator with the United Nations Mission for the Referendum in Western Sahara, MINURSO, Sidi Mohamed Ammar, affirmed that the Sahrawi party remains firmly attached to its position, which was recommended and supported by the Sixteenth Congress of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Saguia El Hamra and Valley of Gold, which is the option of armed struggle, without excluding all Legitimate means to expel the Moroccan occupation.

During the meeting, the content of which was reported by the Sahrawi News Agency (SPA), the Sahrawi diplomat touched on the entry of a land convoy of the “MINURSO” mission into the liberated desert soil, between 5 and 7 April, stressing that this was “as a result of a goodwill initiative” that he announced. Sidi Ammar stated that Guterres and high-level officials of the United Nations Secretariat, as well as members of the Security Council, including permanent members, “expressed their thanks and gratitude for this initiative, which constitutes real support for the MINURSO mission and for the efforts of Staffan de Mistura, the Secretary-General’s personal envoy for the Sahara.”
