This special meeting came after a previous meeting in the Pope’s office.
During this meeting, which brought together the Secretary-General, Dr. Al-Issa, and the Pope of the Vatican in his private home, cordial conversations and views were exchanged on several issues on the international arena, especially issues related to common values and building bridges between civilizations, as well as ways to confront tendencies of religious and intellectual extremism, whatever their identities. And its pretexts, including all methods of hatred, racism, marginalization and exclusion.
